SCHUMANN-NÄGLER: TRADITIONAL YET CONTEMPORARY

We devote considerable time caring for our vines and grapes throughout the year in order to bring out the best from our top sites. Our wines are true “children of nature”. The mild Rheingau climate, the region’s rich clayish, slaty soils, and gentle vinification lend our wines an unmistakable mineral quality, complemented by the Schumanns’ typical mellow touch. This philosophy has won international recognition. Even former U.S. President Ronald Reagan was a fan of Riesling wine from the house of Schumann-Nägler.

In addition to numerous gold and silver medals, our 2013 Riesling numbered among “Germany’s Top 50 Wines” in a competition sponsored by Wines of Germany: “A powerful wine with aniseed aromas and candied peel on the palate and an amazing long and balanced finish.”
